He wont talk to me.

So I have this group of friends, and one couple within the group knew another guy my age. So at a huge friends get together, some friends wanted us to meet. So we ended up meeting. Things went fine except for the fact that he is really shy! I got told that before he even came so I was expecting that. well after that weekend, the one couple that wanted us to meet told me to add him on facebbok and chat to get to know him. So I did. I asked him how his weekend went and he was pretty short and finally he saw my message and then didn’t reply. So the next day, I emailed him and asked him if he wanted to hang out as friends and see where things go. I told him I knew he didn’t want to make things awkward between the group if something did happen between us, because that is what he had told me over the weekend. I also said that I didn’t thing hanging out and getting to know eachother would hurt anything. then I ended the message with if you want to hang out sometime let me know. with a smiley face. it took him a week and 2 days to read that message. but he never replied. Is he still too shy, is he too busy, does he not want to talk to me? Not sure what to do. I don’t want to message him again because I don’t want to bug him. What should I do? Why wouldn’t he reply?
